Ernie goes to the mountain

On Thursday the 17th Me and Tormod decided to go on a mountain trip. We figured out that the Catskills were the closest so early in the morning we packed the bags went to Fast track and bought some food for the trip and we were on out way.

The Catskills is a park area in the central New York area and it has over 30 different mountains that you can visit. Not knowing any of these mountains Tormod just put in a destination into his GPS and we decided just to go to whatever mountain was closest to that location.

It was cold in the mountains! a lot colder then we were expecting but being a outdoors man Tormod was prepared for anything, he even brought a shovel to shovel away snow if it started snowing to much or to use to make a seat.

The mountain that we ended up at was 3600 feet. It was now everywhere and at 3600 feet the wind is not stopped by a lot and it gets cold very fast. at the top of the mountain we decided to stop and make a seat and have some food. we had peanut butter sandwiches and they were amazing. i think it is true what they say that your food tastes better when you work for it.

This was my first time on a mountain and i was happy to have experienced it. I hope me and Tormod go on trips in the mountains or other outdoor places more often because it was very fun and i felt really alive being in the wild.

Tormod would like to thank his father for being amazing and for taking him on mountain trips when he was a kid, teaching him everything he knows about camping and surviving in the wild.

Well that was that adventure. i do not know what is in store for me next. Tormod Has a new job that i have not visited yet, and he also joined this Gym that is huge and maybe i will go there with him. Also there are movies out i haven't seen. Christmas is coming up to.

Maybe there will be more outdoor travel in my future, let us hope. But everyone should remember to be safe and take every precaution imaginable. Better safe than sorry. But for now, Have a wonderful day.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was celebrated at the farm this year. Oma went to main for thanksgiving and the only family in the area was me, Tormod and Bacon. so for the holidays me and the two boys went to the farm and decided to have holiday dinner there.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for not having blogged for a while but there has been other things to take care of. but here is the latest update, and the next will be even better.

Tormod brought some beer and a camera, but the camera was out of batteries so the pictures had to be taken with the camera phones for this adventure. But that was OK.

For the dinner Bacon had found some Salmon files in the freezer. For sides Tormod brought some potatoes and also some corn and pees were nuked. The potatoes were made into homemade mashed potatoes and both Tormod and Bacon got to test out their skills in the kitchen.

For the Salmon Bacon decided to make up a marinade of different kids of spices found in the kitchen. Not all of them sounded as appetizing but when it was cooking it smelled very good in the kitchen.

The food was finally done and it was time to eat, we all sat down at the table in the sun room and Tormod and Bacon put the picture of Grandpa on the table to he could be part of the thanksgiving celebration. The salmon tasted like heaven and it was a wonderful celebration with my best friends.

I missed the rest of my friends on thanksgiving, but they probably had a good celebration to so i wish all of my friends a happy thanksgiving and soon its time for Christmas.

That was my thanksgiving adventure. i think the next adventure planed is a trip to the mountains but i don't yet know witch mountain and i have never been to one so its going to bre amazing.

In a side note, Tormod took me to see a waterfall the other day but it was dark so no pictures was taken, bit it was a nice trip.

Elifant in Shape

Yesterday i went with Tormod to his job at Longview. I got to hang out in the office and come with to do repair things for residents. it was pretty fun. even if i didn't get to help as much as i wanted.

But on Tormods break we went to the exercise room and i got to try to get in shape. First we found out my weight i weigh 1 lb.. that is not bad for a elifant my size.

The first exercise we did was running on the treadmill. Tormod wanted to see if he could run a 3000m (1.86 miles) in under 8 minutes. I was very exited to see if he could do it. He ended at 7.51 and i was very proud of him even if he was almost dead and sweaty.

After running we were very tired, but we still had to lift some weights. It is important for an elifant to be strong and be able to lift a little bit. so i went straight for the bar. I am going to be the strongest elifant ever.. even if people tell me i am cute and cuddly and i should stay that way i want to be in shape.

After the workout we went outside and took a break and had some chocolate milk. that was very good and i got to wear Tormods sunglasses. and i looked really cool.

On Monday i am going with Tormod to see the Time travelers Wife and meet a new friend Kristeen. She sounds very nice. Until next time :)

Lunch with the Familly

Today i went to the farm to visit the family, Tormod's mom and Oma. I have official become one of the family and i am very happy about that. Every family should have an elifant.

I rode with Tormod and we gave Crystal a ride to her house. When we got to the farm we helped Tormod's mom and Oma with binding branches so that they wouldn't get cut by the kids mowing the lawn.

I got to hang out in a bush again, while Tormod helped. After that we got lunch ready and i sat on the computer. But i did help a little bit, and i got to eat a berry.

It was nice to see Tormod's mom again before she goes back to Norway tomorrow. I hope Tormod will take me to Norway one time, it seams like a nice place and i wish to go one time.

Ice Cream is better...

Today i went on an adventure to Purity Ice Cream. witch is a local Ice Cream place in Ithaca and it is only 3-4 blocks from Tormod and Bacon's house. We decided to go to purity because there was a rumor floating around that there were people that Bacon an Tormod knew that were at Purity.

They were wrong so we didn't get any Ice Cream but it was till a nice adventure to a place i hadn't been before.

I altos got to sit on a bush that was very comfortable.. and i talked to Tormod who told me that he had a friend who would like to meet me and be my friend. i home i get to meet that person one day, he said her name was Rachael.

I liked Purity, and i want to go back and get ice cream one day. Tormod said that when he gets payed again we can go to purity and get ice cream at that the ice cream there is better than other places.

This day has been fun the other day i got to play phase 10 with Tormod and Bacon to. that was lots of fun, i like that game, it is a card game witch is like Rummy but its also like Uno. and it has pases. Tormod always looses because Bacon used to play phase 10 in the city when he worked at the Broadway theaters.

The Honey Moon beer is also very good, it a beer brewed with honey witch gives it a milder sweeter taste.

Well that was my adventures for now, Tormod's sister Irene has her birthday tomorrow so Happy Birthday. and Tormod's brother Audun is moving to Australia, so good luck.

Sailing to Philladelphia

Wednesday a cupple of weeks ago, me and Tormod went on a trip in the car for 5hours to Philladelphia to pick up Tormods mother and stepfather who was coming to visit him and the familly in New York.

Driving is probabaly one of the best things in the world, it is so mutch fun, even if it was a very long trip, we had a lot of fun, listening to the radio and looking out the window. we altso played this game where you choose a color and then you count how many cars of that color you see, and the one with the most cars wins. I toltally one couse i chouse silver and he chouse red. and there was way many more silver cars.

When we finally got to the airport witch was on the other side of Philladelphia, we had to find theyr gate and wait for them for over half an hour. While waiting we explored the airport and we got to see lots of planes.

On our way home, Tormods stepfater drove and Tormod and I decided to sleep in the back of the car. It was a fun trip. and i hope it wont be long until the next adventure.

Jason Mraz and New Freinds

Hi Everyone. Its been a while since my last adventure, but it was worth the wait. I got to go to a Jason Mraz show at the CMAC in Upstate New York. it was amazing the place was huge and there was people everywhere. I wven got to make new friends.

Tormod, Bacon, Michelle and my new friend Crystal went to the show. Driving took forever becouse we went to pick up new friends Crystal in Cortland and then drove all the way to Syracuse before taking the trouway.

I got to ride in front with Tormod and Michelle and Tormod petted me while we were driving so that i had a good time. riding is very boring , but driving is fun.

This is my new friend Crystal, she is a very nice very funny girl who makes jokes about me all the time. i like her, she makes me laugh and she is very friendly.

At the CMAC i altso got to taste Dinosaur Bar B Q for the first time. thay had very simple food, but it was incredible, michelle told me that i dident know what i was missing if i didnet have any, and she was right. I had chicken Bar B Q platter with beans. soooo gooood.

And for the main avent Jason Mraz made my day. As a encore he went of stage and apeared in the middle og the audience playing 4/5 songs and then going back to the stage to play another 2-3 songs. He dident play my favorit song but he playd a lot of good ones and i had the best time of my life.

After the show we were hungry so we decided to get to a foodplace. Only problem was that it was late at night and we had taken the wrong way out of the parking lot so we were lost. luckely nothing is better then GPS on the BlackBerry after a while we found our way.

Wings, Beer, Theatre, Show and more Beer

Yesterday Tormod and Bacon took me to get wings and se a play. We first went to the Lehigh Vallyhouse witch is two blocks from the house for Wings and Beer. Every wednesday at the Lehigh Vallyhouse its wingnight from 5pm to 9pm. This is a special on wings where you can get wings a lot cheaper then usual and what is the best to go with wings? Beer. I like beer, and at the vallyhouse they have good american beer called yuengling.

It was fun getting wings. Im probably going to come with next wednesday if both Bacon and Tormod have off of work.

After wings and beer we went to the Hangar Theatre. The Hangar Theatre is a theatre in the park outside of ithaca witch used to be a airplane hangar. it was renovated and turned into a theatre and now they run shows every year.

The show we decided to see was called Novemer. it is about a president that no one likes and that is trying to win realection. It is a comedy and i loved it. I had a smile on my face the entire show and couldent stop laughing.

At the theatre i altso met a lot of interesting people that thought i was cute and wanted to hold me and get a picture. The people were very nice and very nice to me. the pople i met were Mr Sol and Mrs Sol. And the Hagar theatre emplyees that sold us cake and snapple befor the show.

After the show we went to a venue called Castaways,to have more beer. there was altso a show going on at Castaways. It was a regge show but none of the band memebers were very regge like.

It was a good day and a great adventure. I had lots of fun hanging out with Tormod and Bacon, and meeting new people is always fun. Here is some other pictures from my adventure today.

This is my friend Bacon. He is a very nice and kind of crazy person. He is Tormods cousin and they live in the Ithaca Downtown in a big blue house.

Beren makes a lot of good food, and he has a lot og good ideas for adventures. like theatre and bars and shows.

He used to live in the big beautiful city of New York, and he telles me storries of the times he and Tormod and Michelle and all the other og his friends had fun in the awsome city og New York.

I cant wait to se the City and all the incredible things Bacon sais about it. The picture is me and Bacon watching comdey shows with Tormod.

Hi to all. my name is ernie, welcome to my blogg, i am en elifant and i like to go on adventure, this is my adventure blog. Here i will share with you my adventure and you will get to know my friends and everyone that cares about me.

I have many friends. One is named Tormod. He is a norwegian. This means that he is from the north country where there is daytime all summer long, and where there is nighttime all winter long, that dosent sound to fun to me, becouse elifants like summertime better then winter time and winters in Norway are very cold i hear. But Tormod is altso a very nice man and i like him very mutch.

One of my other friends is Michelle, she is very sweet to me, and takes me on adventures all the time. and then there is Bacon, he is Tormod's cousin, but he is not from north country even if he was born there. He altso takes me on adventure. And then there is puppydawg, he is a very cute an cuddely little dawg that lives with Tormod and sometimes Michelle. I get to visit him all the time and we are good friends. We sometimes go on adventures together and that is lots of fun. That was all my friends that i can think of.
